Tell us a little bit about yourself! Who you are, what you do, hobbies, etc.
I am a Los Angeles based Illustrator, and I love to create fun and happy illustrations/products for everyone to enjoy!
On the side, I love cooking! You can see my creations (both illustrative and culinary) on my Instagram: sparklebombb. I love nothing better than to watch cartoons while I work or cook! You can usually find me watching my iPad while I’m making food for the week ? I also love to collect stickers! I have a very big sticker collection and I hoard all of them in an insane drawer in my studio. I have always loved stickers ever since I was in kindergarten and I remember I would keep a special sticker album to put all my collections in. It was my most precious treasure at that age. I actually still have my sticker booklets till this day…(I’m 26 now hahah)
What got you interested in art? Do you have any formal training or are you self-taught? What goes into the production of your work?
I have been doing art since I was very little, I was always interested in drawing and creating things.
As a little kid I would draw, sculpt, and craft all the time. All my teachers in elementary school usually knew me as the “artist” in the class. My parents saw my love for it and decided to enroll me in private art classes. I have always thought that art was going to just be a “side thing” or even just a “hobby” but in my junior year of high school, I decided to take “AP Art” and really loved the class. I loved the process of creating work, critiquing, expressing new ideas, and exploring different mediums. I remember thinking at the time that this was a big deal to make a completely different choice in schools than my high school peers. Everyone I knew were applying to UC schools and in the end I decided to look into Art Center College of Design. I figured that If I was going to be serious about my art career that I should look into the top schools to get that education from, I ended up attending Art Center for 5 years.
What inspires your work? Is it specific subject matter, other artists?
How did you find Just Buttons? How do you plan on using your order/will they be available for sale somewhere?
I found just buttons by asking my very good and close friend, google. He always knows what’s in, hot, and fresh! And yes, of course, my lovely buttons will be available for purchase on my Etsy shop! And they will be with me when I attend two conventions in September, Sabakon and Touhoucon! I will be selling other goodies on that day that aren’t posted on my etsy store! So please come and visit me! Let’s be friends (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
